Yes, Virginia,
There is a rapture
For God hath not appointed us to WRATH, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ
(1 Timothy 5:9).
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of WRATH.(Job 21:30)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give YOU an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth (Revelation 3:10).
...and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation 17:8)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon THEM, as travail upon a woman with child; and THEY shall not escape (1 Thess 5:3).
But....
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and AT THAT TIME thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. (Daniel 12:1)
As in the days of Noah the wicked were marrying and partying and Noah was saved. In the days of Egypt/Pharaoh, nothing harmed God's people. Look at Revelation. It is a parallel of the flight from Egypt (the two witnesses - Moses and Aaron, the plagues, the Passover, the destruction of the enemy). Remember, no plagues hurt God's people and the PASSOVER is the rapture. Why do we fall for the lie that God is unable to save us from the tribulation? That is why it's called the GOOD NEWS.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues (Revelation 18:4)
When the rapture happens, God is going to take out of the World
1. His Holy Spirit (2 Thess 2:6-7)
2. His People (Revelation 18:4)
3. His Word (Amos 8:11-12)
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; (Joel 2:28)
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (son of satan); Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth [HOLY SPIRIT] that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only HE who now letteth will let, until HE be taken out of the way. AND THEN shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume (2 Thess 2:3-8)
What would happen if God's good spirit were taken out of the world? Total chaos! And since He has promised never to
leave us:
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
(Hebrew 13:5)
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, MY PEOPLE, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues (Revelation 18:4)
And God is going to take even His word.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of HEARING the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)
Notice there is a famine of HEARING the Word of God and finding it! Who shall preach the word of God after the rapture? How many people do you know read the Bible and
if they read the Bible, are they true Christians?
BEFORE THE RAPTURE (Matthew 24:24-51)
Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the BEGINNING of sorrows.
AFTER THE RAPTURE (Matthew 24:1-23)
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold
This is because the Spirit of God is taken out of the way in
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8)
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:13-14).
This is because the Word of God is taken in the rapture and the Angel in Revelation 4 preaches the gospel to all the world
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people (Revelation 14:16)
AFTER THE RAPTURE
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. (Matthew 24:9-25)
BEFORE THE RAPTURE...THE WATCH PERIOD
Scripture most certainly supports the rapture of the Church!
Jesus said we know not what day He will return. The Book of Daniel clearly counts down to the end of days...then Jesus lied?
Not so. Jesus spoke of the Book of Daniel, which already prophesized the
time lines of the end, when He spoke about the abomination of desecration to the
Jews (Matthew 25:15), (Mark 13:14). Matthew clearly says people will say, ‘my Lord delays’ (Matthew 24:48). God's Word is pure, so there will be 1290 days left after the daily sacrifices stop in Jerusalem in the last days. Blessed is he who WAITS 1335 days. If Jesus said that people will say "He delays"...then either the WORD of God is wrong, or Jesus will be late on the last appointed counted down day. This cannot be. Therefore, people are saying He is delaying for some other appearance...the rapture.
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days (1290). Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty (1335) days. (Daniel 12:11-12)
God has never sent wrath without sending HIS prophets of warning. Let me propose a question to you then?
Revelaton clearly identifies God's two prophets appearing in the end times.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (Revelation 11:3)
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (Malachi 4:5-6)
And if the two prophets were to appear today on CNN, what would happen in the world? A world wide revival, of course. Well, the Bible says exactly what would happen.
Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. (Zechariah 8:22-23)
And the Watch Period of the Rapture Begins
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth NO MAN, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known IN WHAT WATCH the THIEF would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:32-44)
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon THEM, as travail upon a woman with child; and THEY shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3)
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (Revelation 16:15)
And at such time 2 Peter 3:3-4 shall be fulfilled:
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
After the Great Tribulation
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:29)
Can you imagine the earth being shaken, the sun darkened, stars falling upon the earth and people drinking, partying and marying? Remember:
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away (Matthew 24:37)(Luke 17:26)
More Scriptures to Ponder
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall
be rooted out of it. (Proverbs 2:22)
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall
be taken in their own naughtiness (Proverbs 11:6)
And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be
together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed. (Isaiah 1:28)
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen (devils – cursed generation), that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise. (1 Chronicles 16:35)
The Harvest Proof
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST THE TARES, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn (Matthew 13:30)
No doubt, Jesus is telling us that the wicked are harvested first, at the end of the world.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:31)
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Matthew 24:13)
According to these scriptures, the tares are harvested first and scripture can not contradict itself.
In Revelations, however, there is a simple harvest before the tares are harvested and without a rapture, scripture would contradict.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the WRATH of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs (Revelation 14:15-18).
But the transgressors shall be destroyed TOGETHER: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalms 37:38)
And at the last trump, those who endure to the end (Matthew 24:14 above), are gathered after the tares (Matthew 13:30).
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (1 Corinthians 15:52)
So, accordingly:
The rapture happens (Revelation 14:15-16)
Then the tares are harvested - the harvest of the totally rebellious against
god who took the mark (Matthew 13:40)(Revelation 14:18-19)
Then the last standing shall be saved and gathered (Matthew 25:32).
Therefore WAIT ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to
the prey: for my determination is to GATHER THE NATIONS, that I may assemble
the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger:
for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. (Zephaniah
3:8)
Notice that the wrath of God starts in Revelation 8 and continues through
10.
And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were
given seven trumpets. (Revelation 8:2)
1. hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth
2. and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea:
and the third part of the sea became blood;
3. and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and
it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the
waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were
made bitter.
4. and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the
moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was
darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night
likewise.
5. and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given
the key of the bottomless pit, And there came out of the smoke locusts upon
the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have
power.
6. Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And
the four angels were loosed
7. But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin
to sound, the mystery of God should BE FINISHED.
And this is the last trumpet - those still standing are saved, changed in
the twinkle of the eye, 1335 days after the daily sacrifices cease (Daniel 12:11-12) .
So the plagues in Revelation 16 have to come first (or at the same time?),
because it is finished at the last trumpet.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
PLAGUES. (Revelation 18:4)
And the plagues (Revelation 16):
1 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell
a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast,
and upon them which worshipped his image.
2. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as
the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea
3 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of
waters; and they became blood.
4. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was
given unto him to scorch men with fire.
5. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and
his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
6. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;
and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east
might be prepared.
5 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto
the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle
of that great day of God Almighty.
6 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue
Armageddon.
7. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a
great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is
done.
8. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightning; and there was a great
earthquake,
9. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
10 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the
weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the
hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials...judgment
of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters
Which one of these chapters isn't a form of wrath? They are all sent by God.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 5:9).
